Thanks for your letter of the 18th of August. We will make a note of what you say about Gomperts, with a view to considering him with others when the time comes for filling the appointment referred to.
As to the Boycott ordinance, you will see from a despatch coming out by this mail that the present Secretary of State has considered the mutter, and agrees to the measure remaining on the Statute Book subject to a reserva- tion as to the proclamation of a special rate. Yours sincerely,
